what is the glassybaby exchange policy?

items, in their original packaging (cardboard topper on top of glassybaby and side inserts between each glassybaby), may be exchanged up to 30 days FOR STORE CREDIT OR EXCHANGE ONLY, minus any shipping fees. all returns must be accompanied with a receipt (if purchased in store) or the ID sticker on the bottom of the glassybaby (if purchased online)

glassybaby is not responsible for any damage that occurs during return shipping, so we strongly encourage all returns to be insured for the full value.

Personalized items may not be eligible for exchange.

what is a glassybaby?

a glassybaby is a tough, sturdy votive, vessel or vase and can live most anywhere you do. 

how is a glassybaby made?

each unique glassybaby is made by hand in seattle, washington. a glassybaby consists of three layers of hand-blown glass. our customers identify glassybaby by their unique shape, rich, brilliant colors and our stamp on the bottom of every glassybaby.

do you offer tours of your madrona studio and hot shop?

if you live in seattle or come for a visit, drop by and see us at our madrona location. you can watch our talented glassblowers create glassybaby while shopping for all the colors you love.

how do I take care of my glassybaby?

there are a few guidelines to follow in order to take the best care of your glassybaby. never let a flame come into contact with a glassybaby and always blow out the candle inside before you handle one. due to the nature of our glass and variation in dishwasher settings, please hand wash your glassybaby. each glassybaby is made of glass specifically chosen and tested to resist color fading. please fill your glassybaby with cool liquids only; extreme temperature change can crack a glassybaby. 

what if my glassybaby is cracked or broken when I receive it?

our packaging is designed to ensure that your glassybaby arrives safely, and we expect careful handling by our shipping carrier while the package is en-route to you. however, damage does occur on occasion. if your package arrives damaged, please notify us within 10 days at 206-538-2436, 8:30am-5pm pst, monday-friday. we will request an image of the damage to be e-mailed to, to help during the claim filing process with our shipping carrier. we will then re-ship your glassybaby as soon as possible.

is my information safe when shopping on

at glassybaby, we work hard to ensure that your personal and payment information is secure and your privacy is respected. we do not sell or rent our customer list. we use ssl technology to keep your credit card information “encrypted” and secure when you make purchases online at glassybaby.

am I eligible for free shipping?

most likely! glassybaby free shipping applies to standard ground delivery to the lower 48 states only, on every glassybaby, every day. this excludes shipping to alaska or hawaii, same day delivery, expedited or international orders. we also ship 2-day, 3-day or overnight, via FedEx to street addresses only.

how quickly will I receive my order?

most orders are processed and shipped within two days of their receipt, however, we do not ship on saturday or sunday. with standard ground delivery, your order should arrive within 7-10 business days from when we process it, depending on the destination. overnight orders should be placed by 1pm pt, but if you have any concerns about timing, please call us. we love our customers and want to be as helpful as we can.

what if my package is stolen?

glassybaby is not responsible for replacing lost/stolen items. if you suspect your package has been lost/stolen please give us a call and we would be happy to work with you. we will do our best to make a claim with our shipping provider.

can you ship to my p.o. box?

yes! we can ship to PO boxes anywhere within the continental U.S. please allow an extra week of transit time after your order is placed for PO box deliveries. 

I want to shine the glassybaby light in sweden. do you ship internationally?

we do ship internationally. please call 206-538-2436, 8am - 5pm pst, monday-friday for a shipping quote. please provide the specific address you are shipping to, as well as the number of glassybaby you would like to send. unfortunately we are unable to ship internationally to p.o. boxes.

oh no! I need a last minute gift and I can’t get to your stores. what are my options?

same day delivery is available in the greater seattle/bellevue area and now in the bay area of san francisco. orders must be placed by 1pm pst for delivery that same day. for more information, please call: 206-538-2436.

what forms of payment do you accept?

we accept visa, mastercard, discover and american express. we do not charge your credit card until we ship your merchandise. orders are subject to credit verification and acceptance before shipping.

how do I unsubscribe from glassybaby email communication?

if you no longer want to receive email from us, there are two ways to let us know: either select unsubscribe at the bottom of any glassybaby email you have received in the past or email us at and we can remove you from the list.

what do you do with my physical address?

we use email most often to communicate with our customers. however, we also send occasional postal mailing about new products and services or upcoming events. if you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by contacting us at

what do you do with my telephone number?

if you provide us with your telephone number, we will only call regarding your online order. if there is a shipping exception with your order and an alternative address or information is needed to deliver your order, our shipping carrier may reach out to you. 

is it possible to have glassybaby engraved?
