Designer Austin Handler first discovered glassybaby when he heard Lee share her story at Blogfest in NYC last year. The glassybaby story resonated. This year, when designing a room for the Hamptons Holiday House he wanted to include glassybaby color. The Holiday House brought twenty four design firms together to transform a newly built Bridgehampton home into a unique show house to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Austin and his wife and business partner, Jennifer Mabley, chose ‘goodness,”brother,’ and ‘peter pan’ to fill the mantle and tables in their bright space.
The design team says in the magazine their room is a “a soothing space to host a summer kickoff cocktail party.” Cheers and well done Mabley Handler!

here’s what our community had to say…
“I always think of my Dad a Navy pilot. Wonderful man.” — Celia E.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
— John Gillespie Magee, Jr
“I bought Wingman not too long ago… My son is a Helicopter pilot in the army and refers to each of his little boys as his “wingman”!!! Every time I light it.. I think of my son and his boys that live in Georgia!” — Patty R.
“Sometimes people let you down…but occasionally there is that one person, who comes into your life… the truest, kindest, most loving person…who gives and loves with his whole heart and just hearing his voice, his name, brings you peace and comfort.
Happy Father’s Day to the best Dad and Grandfather there is.
We love you so much.”
“Across the miles, I am always here for a hug.
“To the best wife a guy could ever ask for…
and the best Mommy our two boys could ever imagine!
Happy Mother’s Day!!!
