On the Road to Gig Harbor

Our intrepid glassybaby roadshow team was out and about again this past week.  This time to visit Cutter’s Point Coffee Uptown in beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington.  Many thanks to Katie Robertson and her daughter Annika for partnering with glassybaby to host such a wonderful event in support of The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center!

Katie and Annika were first introduced to glassybaby while Katie’s oldest daughter Karina was undergoing a bone marrow transplant at Fred Hutch.  For Katie and her daughters, the color and light of glassybaby became a source of comfort during this difficult time.  When Karina passed away in 2010, friends of the family filled her memorial service with the glow of dozens of glassybaby.  The light of glassybaby continues to brighten days for the Robertson family, as well as the encouraging work being done by Fred Hutchinson researchers. This inspired Katie and Annika to host a glassybaby roadshow in honor of Karina, giving 10% of sales from the event to The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.  We are so amazed and humbled by our faithful glassybaby community from coast to coast, and their dedication to our mission.  We just can’t wait to get on the road again and share the light and love with all of you!
