A Double Shout-out to Seattle Sounders Women

Heartfelt congrats and a double shout-out to the Seattle Sounders Women soccer team!

It was announced earlier this week that the Seattle Sounders Women (5-0-1) earned a spot in the W-League Western Conference Championships.  The Sounders Women will face top-seeded Pali Blues on Sunday, July 22nd at 1pm (PT) in Fullerton California at Titan Stadium.  Pali Blues is the top-ranked team in the W-League and is undefeated this season.  The two teams have a fierce rivalry and this promises to be an action-packed match.  The winner of this game will earn a berth in the W-League Final Four.

Across the pond, in England, four Sounders Women chosen to play on the National Team are busy preparing for the 2012 London Olympic Games.   Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe, Sydney Leroux and Alex Morgan will be representing the United States (and Seattle) when they face France on July 25th at the famed Hampden Park.  The match is two days before the official opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics, so mark it on your calendars.  It is a not-to-be missed event.

glassybaby and the Seattle Sounders Women are working together to raise awareness in the fight against cancer. glassybaby donates 10% of revenue from the sale of each ‘grass’ handmade votive candle holder to the Cancer Patient Assistance  Fund at Swedish Medical Center.  As a nonprofit organization, Swedish relies heavily on community partnerships, and the support of those who believe in their mission to provide the very best care to every person they serve — regardless of their ability to pay.

Go Sounders Women!  glassybaby is proud of your accomplishments and our ongoing partnership.
