Exciting news, glassybaby family! We’re thrilled to share that our newest production hot shop has officially opened in Fife, Washington. This expansion marks a significant moment in our journey, allowing us to create even more of the hand-blown, heartfelt pieces that you love—each one carrying a message of hope, healing, and giving.
A New Home for Craftsmanship
The Fife hot shop has been in the works since late 2023, with months of careful planning, design, and collaboration to bring it to life. Nestled just north of Tacoma, this new facility expands our production capabilities while staying true to the glassybaby tradition of craftsmanship and care.
Unlike our other locations, the Fife hot shop is focused exclusively on production—no retail space, no tours (yet!). Here, our team of talented glassblowers is dedicated to shaping the vibrant, glowing votives that brighten your homes and serve as symbols of light and love.

Growing Our Team of Glassblowers
The glassblowing community is small, and career opportunities can be rare. Many glass artists must seek work in nontraditional ways—demonstrations, independent studios, or even cruise ships. But at glassybaby, we’re committed to providing a sustainable career path for glassblowers, with benefits, stability, and a creative environment where their skills can flourish.
Right now, Fife is home to six skilled glassblowers, including experienced team members who’ve moved from our other locations. As we grow, we’ll expand to accommodate more artists, ensuring that every glassybaby you receive is handcrafted with the same level of dedication and artistry.
Kenneth, the Fife project manager, has been with glassybaby for over 15 years. He, shared his excitement about what this expansion means:
“It’s always exciting to see the growth of the company and more opportunities for glassblowers—not just in Seattle, but also in the southern Puget Sound. With places like the Museum of Glass and programs like Hilltop Artists producing the next generation of glassblowers, we’re providing a future in the field that isn’t always easy to find.”
Innovation and the Future
One of the most exciting aspects of the Fife hot shop is its future role in research and development. While our immediate focus is on ramping up production, this space will eventually serve as a hub for innovation—experimenting with new colors, techniques, and designs that could shape the future of glassybaby.
We know that every glassybaby has a story, just like the people who make them and those who receive them. With the addition of this new shop, we’re ensuring that the tradition continues—more hands shaping molten glass, more light in the world, and more support for the causes that matter.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Every time you light a glassybaby, you’re not just enjoying a beautiful piece of art—you’re helping sustain an entire community of artists and makers.
